DESIGN AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP: MODERN PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS OF PREPARATION FOR ENTREPRENEURIAL ACTIVITIES IN THE DESIGN EDUCATION SYSTEM

Abstract

The article analyzes the main features of the combination of design and entrepreneurship. The features of entrepreneurial activity in design as a process of becoming distinctive young creators of innovative ideas and projects, authors of extraordinary methods and technologies, inventors of new techniques and ways of social development have been determined. According to the qualification characteristics of the profession, the main professional functions of the designer have been defined. The designer should generate innovative approaches to problems solving, initiate transformation, economic and technological progress. Modern entrepreneurship is increasingly becoming socially oriented. This ensures the well-being of the nation and self-realization of the designer's professional abilities. In connection with the above, it is possible to talk about entrepreneurship in the field of design, the main characteristics of which include the rational and harmonious agreement of economic interests, as well as socio-economic needs of society. Design entrepreneurs take creative and innovative ideas and transform them into sustainable business models, as well as implementing various innovative approaches.
Different types of design entrepreneurs have been systematized in the article. These are Art-preneurs, Culture entrepreneurs, Creative entrepreneurs, Business entrepreneurs in the arts, Social entrepreneurs, Community entrepreneurs, Digital entrepreneurs in the arts. Entrepreneurship is the ability and willingness to grow a business and manage it systematically for profit. Architectural bureau, music studio, online media, video production, textile production workshop, film festival, advertising agency and TV channel are all formats for organizing creative business and doing business. The main factor here is the focus on profit through artistic ideas and creativity.
The methodological basis for training designers today is the "triangle" of the three main functions of modern design: socio-cultural, utilitarian-consumer and aesthetically-entrepreneurial. This approach gives grounds to determine that the preparation of future designers for entrepreneurship is the preparation for professional entrepreneurial activity aimed at innovative, significant and positive changes in society. Entrepreneurship is becoming a trend in Ukraine. Using entrepreneurial approaches to problem solving takes design entrepreneurship to a new level of development.
The article describes the problems and prospects of preparing future designers for entrepreneurship. The main focus is on practice-oriented training programs, feedback from successful entrepreneurs, on the intensification of the educational process through the use of interactive teaching methods, advanced information and technical means of education. In addition, it is imperative to use elements of the business support infrastructure (business incubators, techno parks, training and business centers, etc.) to develop the practical skills of future entrepreneurs in design.
