Abstract

Among the genres of instrumental music, the main, most significant heritage was the sonata form. It received the strongest impact for development from the general fascination of musicians with Beethoven's symphony. The great role of the drama of the sonata form in the music of the Romantic era is undeniable, as well as the influence of Beethoven's work on the rise of the sonata form.
In the XIX century in sonata form its creators demonstrated a comprehensive influence on the work of various composers and thus proved the importance of this style in the music of this period.
From above said the author concludes that romanticism has become a kind of response to the Enlightenment, its cult of rationalism. The romantic worldview was characterized by an internal conflict between dream and reality. Romanticism contrasted life's prose with the ideal realm of the spirit. It was music that took one of the leading places in art during the era of Romanticism. Formed in the early 19th century, romanticism in music developed in close connection with other trends in painting, literature and theater. Sublimation of all kinds of arts in this period left an undoubted imprint on the development of musical forms in piano literature.
Romantic music was characterized by a deep interest in the human personality. This was expressed in the disclosure of personal drama, which also had a touch of autobiography of romantic composers. Increased attention of romantic composers to human feelings has led to a change of images and genres. Lyrics gained dominance, images of love began to prevail.
The idea of synthesis of arts in the period of romanticism became the foundation in aesthetics of works of that period and was brightly shown in all existing works of art of that time.
