HISTORICAL TRADITIONS OF THE EDUCATION OF PHYSICAL CULTURE AND A HEALTHY LIFE IN THE JOURNAL OF BUKOVINA (SECOND HALF OF THE XIX CENTURY)

Abstract

Attention, which was paid by newspapers, magazines, calendars and periodicals to the problems of education of the young generation, is analyzed in the article of the author, including physical education, propaganda of healthy way of life, elucidations of harm of alcohol and smoking. Some particular articles were devoted the theme of activity of public and athletic-sporting organizations herein.

At the same time, the problems that accompanied the physical education of schoolchildren as the main direction of the activity of civil society in the second half of the 19th - the first third of the XX century, need further thorough study, due to a number of topical reasons. First of all, it is a rapid decrease in the level of physical health of contemporary schoolchildren against their peers, as indicated in the study of the historical age; not enough studying in historical and pedagogical science experience of practical realization of various forms, methods and means of physical education of students in the activity of institutions of extracurricular direction.
