Abstract

The article discusses the historical periods of the emergence of teaching methods of drawing, its formation as a separate pedagogical discipline. The main scientific and methodological approaches and teaching methods of drawing in the history of the development of fine art are highlighted. It is argued that the ability to draw has always been and is important for a person, and its use has served and still is one of the means of communication between people. Man began to develop his drawing skills in ancient times. Primitive people already achieved great success in this, as evidenced by the drawings found by archaeologists. But the problem of improving the already known teaching methods and creating new drawing techniques that meet the modern requirements of art education has always remained problematic. Significant work experience in this area certainly proves that professional fine art has a significant impact on the aesthetic development of schoolchildren throughout the entire period of formation of a comprehensive school. Acquaintance with outstanding works of artists that truly reflects the life of modern people helps to strengthen the emotional and aesthetic impact of art classes on students. The best works of famous domestic artists are included in the visual arts curriculum. The pedagogical experience of leading artists, their pedagogical views and opinions contribute significantly to the strengthening of the realistic positions that underlie the teaching of fine art in a comprehensive school. Today, the teaching of fine art has become a separate discipline in the training of specialists – future teachers of fine art.
