MODERN CONCEPTS OF PROFESSIONAL ART EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT IN UKRAINE.

Abstract

Topical concepts of professional art education in Ukraine have been defined and theoretically justified in the paper. The significance of continuing professional education of art specialists has been actualized. Taking into account the growing need for sustainable development of Ukrainian people, the author has singled out and characterized priority directions of professional art education in Ukraine that encompass topical methodological approaches, namely, humanistic, personality-oriented, activity-based, axiological, culturological, competency-based, etc. It has been proved that practical realization of the defined approaches’ ideas contributes to modernization of professional art education as an important component of personality cultural development in accordance with their abilities, opportunities as well as the societies’ need for educated, creative and competent art specialists.
