Abstract
The article deals with the essence of pedagogical principles, reveals their importance in the modernization of art education. The specifics of artistic activity of pupils in the conditions of extracurricular education are covered. Modern principles of organization of pupils' artistic activity in extracurricular education are outlined. It is proved that the effective organization of students' artistic activity is facilitated by the integrated use of general pedagogical principles and special provisions of artistic teaching. In particular, the main and undisputed reference is the educational principle of humanization, which determines the priority of the tasks of forming a creative, capable of self-realization, personality, its spiritual development, humane attitude to the world around. The principle of humanization involves recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and providing the conditions for the development of her talents in artistic creativity. In the context of extracurricular education, the organization of artistic activities of students involves taking into account the principle of voluntariness, since classes take place at a time that is free from studying in general and other educational institutions. Students attend art clubs (choreographic, vocal, choral, theatrical, etc.) consciously at their own request (especially when it comes to high school students). Therefore, the teacher should constantly take care of the development of students' motivation for art education, the formation of interest in artistic and practical activities. When organizing students' artistic activities, it is important to consider one of the oldest principles of pedagogy - cultural conformity. Today, this principle implies, first of all, directing the content of educational artistic activity to the development of the general culture of students, expanding and enriching the artistic experience of the pupils. The practical artistic activity of the students should always be subordinated to a certain purpose, and therefore it involves setting clear tasks and determining ways of solving them. The overall purpose of organizing students' artistic activity is their artistic, aesthetic and spiritual development, the formation of creative thinking, and the personality culture. Taking into account the inseparable unity of the range of pedagogical goals of artistic activity of students and the progress towards the general purpose of artistic teaching provides the principle of integrity.
