Abstract

The article focuses on the need to clarify the concept of “project culture” based on the analysis of such basic concepts as “project”, “project development” and “culture”. It is found that a project is the result of project and technological activities; the realization of some educational goals or solving of some life problems; certain target tasks toward which the individual’s efforts are directed. The project development is described as a process involving project and transformative activities and demonstrating the individual’s attitude towards the environment and is reflected in the project object. It is specified that culture combines not only the acquired historical material and spiritual values but also the knowledge and skills of people living in this historical period as a kind of creative potential they realize in their activities. The main approaches of scholars and researchers to studying the essence of project culture are analyzed. The concept under study is interpreted in various aspects. It is concluded that there is no single approach to its interpretation. Based on the analysis of the basic concepts, the concept of “project culture” is specified. It is defined as a qualitative characteristic of the individual’s project activities, which are aimed at realizing creative potential, are characterized by the individual’s reproduction of relevant experience and are expressed in the well-projected model of future activities, material product, etc.
